What did you like best about Vantive?

I'm the first to post! Whoo Hoo!
I really liked how you could go into a site and get the application up and running, in production in a very short time. My record was production in three weeks. It was a vanilla support application with very little customizations and I had Kiran Kumar to help... I didn't appreciate it at the time, but the server and client software was very solid. I know this now because I've had the experience of an aggressive schedule and a flakey product.

As a matter of fact, I liked Vantive so much I created something similar over the last few years while I was in school. I tried to keep it simple and functionally close to Vantive while removing some architectural problems I had with Vantive. I have it to the point where I can do a demo, but I ran out of help and time. It was a completely web-based java/j2ee application that only needed java, tomcat and mysql (all free software). I called it "Cartive" There is stuff at www.cartive.com/cartivehome
